Are chocolate dipped strawberries healthy? And a thanks.

First of all, thank you.

There really isn't much more I can say other than that, without becoming a soggy, emotional mess. But your comments, emails....left me in happy tears. Honestly, I would've thought my dorky video would have elicited more reaction than the last post, but I am now seeing that my dorkiness is part of it all...the fact that we're still alive and smiling and acting like fools despite IF. So for you ladies, my foolishness will go on :)

Thank you.

I have other posts that must be posted, soon....I have so much to tell you, but today I'm just going to leave it with a lighter baking post.

I don't eat fruit. I know, it's a weirdness about me. The texture of fruit is all wrong to me. So while chocolate dipped strawberries are lovely, they can be all yours.

But strawberry cakeballs made to look like chocolate dipped strawberries?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....

I couldn't get a good shot of one with a bite out of it, but please believe me when I tell you that inside those layers of dipping chocolate lies the moistest and most delicious strawberry cakeball....

  1. Don't worry, I hate veggies--especially green ones, which I think taste like chlorophyll. I love real chocolate covered strawberries, but these look awfully good too. If I moved closer would you give me baking lessons? LOL!

  5. Um, those are adorable! I like fruit, but I do NOT like my chocolate tainted with fruit of any kind. :)

  6. Those are gorgeous and look delicious! My mom has made dipped cake balls before but they didn't look nearly as pretty (tasted excellent though)!

  7. OMG, that is the cutest thing ever!!! Did you make these? Can you share how you did it? I have visions of making these for people! And if you did make them, where did you get the cute cartons? If you made these you are just too damn cute, video, strawberries and all! :)

  11. For me, it's the texture of veggies like broccoli and cauliflower that I can't stand. Blech!

Every version of your cake balls are so cute, especially these strawberries. If you share your recipe (now, that would be a great how-to video!), I think I could manage to screw them up somehow :0

  12. That is so my kind of fruit. (-;

I'm okay with fruit until it is baked in any way, shape, of form...which means no "fruit" kind of pie.

  15. How are your arteries not trying to climb out of your body?

Aren't you obsessed by fats in your working life? Are you just taking them on head on in your baking life or something? Are you looking to prove your own research wrong? :)

That said, if they are mailable, I'll take a couple of dozen... :)

  16. OMG I wish I could pick this off my screen and eat it. How many Weight Watchers points to do you think one of these is? It's almost 9:00 p.m.... where oh where can I get a chocolate-dipped strawberry cake ball????

  17. Genius! I think you need to start a baking blog...that can take local orders. YUM!

  18. Your cake balls always look amazing but I have to say that I don't think I've ever had a good cake ball. I tried the recipe you posted a while ago and it turned into this pasty mess that I didn't want to eat. I obviously don't have the touch like you do :)

  20. Mmm, mmm, mmm those look good!

My best friend in Dallas has made me cakeballs...I wonder if you do it like she does...taking the whole cake and mixing with a whole can of icing, then she freezes the balls and chocolate dips them!! Sinfully, heavenly goodness!
